A perfect, sunny January day (a true gift in winter, especially when you live in Oregon). Heart smiley at the foot of the spectacular St. Johns Bridge.It was the first sunny day of the new year in Portland, so the park was a joyous spectacle of people and animals soaking it in -- families picnicing, couples strolling, quiet journalers journaling, a fitness model posing for her photographer (competing for notice with the perfect Gothic arch at the base of the bridge), toddlers twirling, dogs bounding, hip musicians jamming, bubble guys bubbling, and plein air painters (and people with camera phones) trying to capture it all. Bring on the new year!!!
